3. Understand the reasons for not being able to clear the exams: Some of the common reasons which stop you from cracking a Government exam are:

• Reading a bundle of books than focusing on their quality: Reading more number of books that are of poor quality is of no use. Instead, focus on quality of the material. Select one or two sources of study material of a particular subject. Study and grasp the content by practicing a number of times.

• Depending on other successful candidates’ notes: The learning style of each person is different. So the way one captures content from a material can be different from the way of another. Hence it is always advisable to prepare one’s own notes.

• Distractions in daily life: If distractions are not handled, they can be the reasons of prolonged failure in future. Instead, turn distractions into a positive environment. For example, instead of watching useless videos on YouTube, watch subject videos. Use internet as a platform to ask queries in study forums.

4. Be honest with yourself: Remember that for competitive exam preparation, each day hard work counts. Do not be under the assumption that there is enough time to start, to plan and to proceed.

5. Practice the sections that you need to be good at: Identify your weak points and work on them until satisfied. To know your weak points, go to SuccessLynk and take up any mock test.
