 Career Scope:

Lower Division Clerk ­ Daily office tasks and maintenance of the data, files and documents of the office in a systematic manner

 

Data Entry Operator

Court Clerk

Administrative duties in the criminal and civil justice systems, assisting lawyers, judges and other officers of the court

 

Postal /Sorting Assistant

Duties vary from department to department. Postal Assistants get posted in the Postal department of the Indian Government.

 

Promotion: These posts are at first level position in the Government organizations. A candidate can be promoted based on their performances to the next level of positions as given below.

  • Lower Division Clerk → Assistant/ Upper Divisional Clerk → Division Clerk → Section Officer
  • Data Entry Operator → Data Entry Operator Grade B → Data Entry Operator Grade C → Data Entry Operator Grade F (System Analyst)
  • Court Clerk → Assistant Clerk → Bench Clerk → Head Clerk
  • Postal /Sorting Assistant → Lower Selection Grade (LSG) / Supervisor → Higher Selection Grade (HSG) II / Senior Supervisor → Higher Selection Grade (HSG) II / Chief Supervisor
