Top 5 Tips to Succeed in APPSC Group 2 Screening Test in Offline Mode

APPSC Group -2 Exam is one of the most competitive exams at state level. Candidates who clear this exam get recruited for high entry-level jobs in the State such as Municipal Commissioner, Assistant Commercial tax Officer, Sub Registrar, Deputy Tahsildar etc. There are two stages in the exam: the screening test and the mains.

Those who have cleared the screening test are eligible to write the mains. The screening test is of objective type. It has 150 questions and 150 marks and no negative marking. One has to score more than 100 marks to get eligible to write mains. Let us now look at some tips to prepare for APPSC Group 2 exam.

Get to know the complete syllabus and understand the exam pattern: The screening test syllabus can be divided into these categories: 1) Current affairs, 2) Constitution of India with special emphasis on certain topics and 3) Economic Development of India. Get complete details from Successlynk.

Gather proper study material: Get the list of good books to prepare for the exam. Read NCERT books, SCERT books of AP and Telangana, Telugu Academy books and the books published by State as well as Central Government. Read books on Indian Polity, AP / Telangana History, Indian Economy, AP / Telangana Economy. Do not forget to check the Government sites for additional information. For current affairs read newspapers on events and news of Regional, National and International importance.

Also learn about the important Andhra Pradesh / Telangana Government’s programs and policies. Read AP /Telangana Social studies textbooks. Next, focus on Population and Economic Geography topics such as Agriculture. Remember Child Sex Ratio, Female Ratio, Literacy Ratio and Urban-Rural Population Ratio of our country and of AP / Telangana states. Note down information on ISRO Satellite launches, Missile Launches, Mangalyaan, Chandrayaan Programmes, Latest Prizes and other scientific developments etc. Go through the text books of SCERT of the state on General Science, Biology, Physics and Chemistry from Class 6 to Class 10.

Practice what you read: Practicing questions helps in the exams. Take a number of mock tests and solve a number of model papers. They help you to brush up your skills. You’ll also get used to exams and you’ll be able to manage your time well in the examination hall. After the test, analyse your mistakes and focus on your strengths and weaknesses. Clear your doubts.

Have a strong will and good study environment: A deep desire to succeed will definitely push you towards success. Utilize your time in the best possible way. Be away from all negative and take care of yourself. Eat healthy food and do some light exercises. You’ll feel good. Motivate yourself and visualise yourself succeeding in the exams.
