Top 5 Tips to Succeed in APPSC (Group 3 – Grade IV) Panchayat Secretary Main Exam

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (APPSC) Group II examination is a written examof objective type mode. The exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for 150 marks to be completed in 90 minutes and Paper 2 is for 150 marksto be completed in 90 minutes.

Practice Logical reasoning, analytical ability and data interpretation from good books.
  • Paper 2: Paper 2 has contemporary problems and development of rural society with special reference to Andhra Pradesh. You are expected to have a good understanding on the roles and responsibilities of Panchayat Secretary. Have a complete understanding on the evolution of Panchayat Raj system in AP and in India including Constitutional amendments and reports of Various Committees.Understand why and how the schemes related to upliftment of rural poor have evolved. Now the Schemes of Panchayat Raj Department of AP and India for rural development. Know how agriculture, small scale Industries and rural artisans contribute to the economy in rural AP. Focus on the role of Banks, cooperatives, Micro Finance, community based organisations and convergence of Welfare Schemes in rural AP. Emphasise on women empowerment and economic development through self-help groups. Understand revenue and expenditure management of local bodies. Know about the accounting and administering funds received under various schemes.
  • Practice:Practice previous year papers.
