Top 5 things you should avoid to make your repeat attempt work at this year’s JEE Main offline exam

Posted on March 12, 2019 by Successlynk

Many students drop a year and just focus on preparation for repeating the JEE exam. There could be many reasons for not being able to make it in the first attempt. Perhaps the student was sandwiched between coaching institute and school. He/ she could have been overburdened due to board examination and entrance exam preparation. Perhaps he/ she could not follow a strategy.

If you are planning to repeat JEE Mains, start with a fresh and new approach to succeed in your second attempt. Introspect and analyse your previous preparation. Here are a few things you need to avoid to make your repeat attempt work at this year’s JEE Main offline exam.

1. Avoid thinking that it’s boring to study the same thing again: Things may appear monotonous and boring. So have a positive attitude to keep you motivated and maintain your interest level in studies.

2. Avoid reading the same study material: Do not study the same study material as you did last time. Look for a new preparation material. Click http://blog.successlynk.com/leading-reference-books-iit-jee-engineering-exams/ to view the leading reference books IIT JEE engineering exams.

3. Avoid mistakes while solving problems: It is commonly seen that students make a lot of mistakes while solving problems. Mostly they get confused between +/- signs. Hence take care while doing calculations. If you have practiced well problems, solving problems becomes easy and there will be lesser chances of making mistakes. Practice solving previous question papers and solve a number of problems within a time frame. This will help you to improve your speed and accuracy. The more you practice the better understanding you will get and easier it will be to solve problems.

4. Avoid panicking before the exam: Having low confidence or negative thinking causes panic, which may result in bad time management and making of silly mistakes in the exam. To avoid all this, take up as many mock tests as you can. Practice JEE problems regularly and diligently. Analyse all the mistakes made while solving the problems. Identify every mistake you make and work on it. If you find that you are repeating the same mistake over and over again, then first clear that particular concept.

5. Avoid ignoring self-care: The most important aspect which is ignored by many aspirants is taking care of one’s self. Be away from all sorts of negative. Eat nutritious, home cooked food and avoid sleepless nights or low sleep.
